Music Booms in Bronxville High School

There have also been bands both new and old, such as The Pryde and Phat Francis, who have been hard at work to boost the quality and originality of their music. There have been concerts put on at various churches, auditoriums, etc. by bands in the area including Bronxville Alum Tyler Pendleton. The school seems to have taken notice of this eruption of shows, with the SFL hosting a battle of the bands at the school on March 27th, something which is sure to entertain all who attend.
But what is causing this sudden infatuation with music? Kuba Kierlanczyk, member of both MAC and The Pryde, gave his opinion on the phenomenon: “I think that in this age of technology, people just have a greater access to music, and the industry itself has grown as a result. And in regards to the booming music scene, I think bands like The Pryde and Phat Francis have zeroed in on the type of music people like to hear, so people and more than willing to participate at shows.”
Whatever the cause of this sudden boom, there are certainly students who are enjoying it. Senior and co-founder of MAC Kelly Peña thinks, “I’m glad that people are taking advantage of experiencing other people’s creativity.” Sophomore Alex Hartwell put it a simpler way: “It’s a mad good thing.” Personally, I think it’s about time the music scene received its due credit at our school, because we’ve gone too long without one. People are finally starting to take interest, and it seems that the halls of Bronxville High School will now be ringing with music for years to come.
